Week Nine

Hello Masters families,
Well, after an exciting start to my day week nine was a blessing! I would like to put out a very special thank you to Susan Matthews for filling in as tutor for presentations and tin whistle. Also, to all of the moms who helped to set up the classroom on Tuesday morning, together you all blessed me and the students. Thank you Mrs. Varnell for your assistance with the JEOPARDY game board and in coordinating coverage for the class. Also, a BIG thank you from the whole class for ordering our pizza and having it delivered perfectly. It was alot of fun at lunch to see all of the students reap the reward of hard work and a job well done. The Memory Marble Jar has been emptied and we are on our way to Knowledge Celebration #2!

Kody and Maddie we missed you on Tuesday, we all hope you get well soon and that we will see you back on Week 10.

I am sure the presentations this week were excellent, I am very sorry I missed them. Next week, week 10, will be the last week of formal presentations for the semester. For weeks 11 and 12 we will be using our time and energy to focus on reviewing the grammar for weeks 1-12.
WEEK ELEVEN: In lieu of a presentation, on week 11 all students can choose one subject to "Show What They Know" for review/presentation time. Also, for an additional challenge there will be a mystery subject for each student to study, this will be revealed to each student next week.
WEEK TWELVE: On week 12 we will have fun with the review game, "Are You Smarter Than a Masters Student?" Some brave moms will team up with their children to play the game and we should all get a great review while we have fun! Any students who cannot play with a parent will be in the Masters class of experts and will get to participate in the game as well. FUN AND REVIEW FOR ALL!!! Moms, please let me know next week if you will be able to participate in the game so that I can prepare. Thank you for your help with this, I know the kids will love it!

For the week twelve "are you smarter than a Masters student?" do we have to pair up with a mom?
