Hi Masters families!
I hope you are all having a great weekend. I just wanted to post some information that several parents were asking last week about maps and timeline motions.
The maps that I have been using to display the geography locations each week can be found at http://geomatters.com/. I purchased them at the NCHE homeschool conference two years ago and bought Uncle Josh's pack of 13 laminated maps. After researching today, I see that they are now sold with a CD rom and a book of outline maps, these would also be wonderful resources. It is quite an investment, but factoring in the cost of lamination I have found it worth every penny.
I also mentioned to the students that on You Tube you can find a video presentation of hand motions to aid the students in learning their timeline cards. I am having difficulty placing a direct link to the videos, but here is the information to find them. The one that I recommend is presented by the Lake Norman CC group in NC found on You Tube, http://www.youtube.com/. The first video covers weeks 1-10. It can be found under the title, Classical Conversations of Lake Norman Veritas Hand Motions. The second video covers weeks 11-20 and can be found under the title, Classical Conversations of Lake Norman Hand Motions Part 2. I have saved these two videos onto my favorites at home and can find them just a click away. I hope this information helps you in your journey.
Have a blessed weekend!
Mrs. Gaines
